NEW TO RACING?
Motocross is a very competitive sport and can be very intimidating to get started. Hopefully this section will help you get started. At TSDR we are very family oriented and there is always someone willing to answer your questions.
Getting Started
1. Bike selection-not all dirt bikes are race bikes. Make sure you are getting a dirt bike/quad designed for competition.
2. Mandatory Equipment- Helmet, goggles, jersey, pants, gloves and boots.
3. Good to have Equipment- Chest protector, knee pads/braces, neck protection, elbow protection, mouth guard, earplugs.

Joining the Tri-State Dirt Riders Association
1. Read the "Rule Book" can be found in the Race Info Tab.
2. Read the "Code of Conduct" can be found in the Race Info Tab.
3. Must create a RaceReady Account (See New to RaceReady page)
4. If you have any questions, we have a couple ways to help you.
Send a message on the TSDR-Tri State Dirt Riders Facebook page.
Join our Facebook Group TSDR Moto-Family and ask a question. This group is a public group for our members and any others interested in TSDR to communicate with each other. Don't be afraid to get on there and ask questions.
You can also send an email to info.TSDR@gmail.com (using the Facebook links will get a faster response)
Sequence of Events
1. In the month of March we will post "Membership registration is open" on our Facebook page. There will be a link provided to take you directly there. You can do membership registration any time of the year after that.

2. The race schedule for the year is normally ready around the end of March.

3. The Monday before a race, there will be a post on our Facebook page with a link that says "Registration is live" for the next race. That link will take you directly to the registration page.

That gives you all week to register so you are not waiting in line at the track. If you want to pay with cash that is ok, you will still need to register on-line, but just leave it in your "cart". This helps the volunteers at the sign-up shack to be able to process you faster. If you do want to pay with cash, please try to check in the night before the race. Always check our Facebook Page prior to arriving at the track and registration times will be posted. Usually registration is open for a couple hours the night before and usually opens at 6 AM on race day. Registration will close at 7 AM, we will not accept late registrations as it causes a delay in getting practice started and a late race day.
